Since 2017, he leads Maratue’s environmental management, including the creation of Parque Quirilluca, ecological monitoring and liaison with the community and environmental consultants. In addition, he develops environmental education initiatives and collaboration with local organizations.

During his career, he has participated and led interdisciplinary teams in research, planning and local development, community strengthening, entrepreneurship, training, conservation and management of natural and cultural resources, prioritizing environmental, intercultural and informed citizen participation variables. For more than 30 years he has worked in universities, in the public and private sector, highlighting his time at Corporacion Nacional Forestal, where he spent 10 years in charge of indigenous affairs in the Arica & Parinacota region, and one year in charge of communities at Reserva Nacional PeƱuelas, in the Valparaiso region.

He holds a degree in Anthropology from Universidad de Chile and a Master in Territorial Planning and Environmental Management from Universidad de Barcelona, Spain.
