THE PARK AND SUBSIDIZED HOUSING: THE FIRST FOCUS OF THE MARATUÉ PROJECT

The project - which envisions some 14,000 homes in the long term - thus began to move beyond the planning stage and entered full execution mode, focusing on its first conservation stages, the Maratué Park, and the development of subsidized housing.

Following the recent ratification by the Committee of Ministers, Maratué has already begun to move forward. Its directors and shareholders, Claudia and Óscar Lería, traveled this week to the newly opened offices of Foster+Partners in Miami, not only to deliver the news in person, but also to get to work on the next phase of the project. Argentine architect Juan Frigerio, who has visited Puchuncaví several times, led the meetings to advance the master plan and its implementation. “Maratué is a unique initiative worldwide in terms of developing residential communities in harmony with the landscape and environmental protection. I am convinced that, in time, it will be recognized as a benchmark for sustainable development with medium-density urbanism,” Frigerio told DF MAS.
